OEF Research Contributes to Discussions on Seafarer Welfare

OEF Research Director, Dr. Conor Seyle, joined representatives from open registry states, ship-owners associations, researchers, and health certification bodies in Newark to discuss how to reduce the long-term impact of maritime security challenges on seafarers.

In 2017, Dr. Seyle co-authored the report, After the Release: The Long-Term Behavioral Impact of Piracy on Seafarers and Families, with OEF’s Oceans Beyond Piracy program.
