OEF’s Stable Seas Program Remembers Dr. Aileen Baviera

One Earth Future and its Stable Seas program is saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Aileen Baviera, the Director of the Asia Pacific Pathways to Progress Foundation. Dr. Baviera passed away on March 21, 2020 due to complications with pneumonia resulting from COVID-19.

As one of the Philippines’ prominent experts on contemporary China studies and international relations, specializing in China-Philippines and China-Southeast Asia relations, Dr. Baviera was one of Stable Seas' most important partners and a key contributor to its Stable Seas: Sulu and Celebes Seas report.
