Eric Keels

Eric Keels (Ph.D. in Political Science, University of North Texas) is a scholar of international conflict management, democratization, and post-war peacebuilding. Prior to joining OEF Research, Eric was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Global Security at the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee. Much of his research focuses on how institutional and ideological constraints affect the ability of leaders within the government to bargain with violent non-state actors, as well as how the international community can assist with resolving protracted civil wars. His research has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Interactions, and Cooperation and Conflict.
