Paige has expertise in fisheries ecology and biology. At Secure Fisheries she is part of the scientific research team, providing background literature and research on the ecology and history of fisheries in the Indian Ocean, with a focus on Somalia. Additionally, she assists with data management and analysis of fisheries and vessel Automatic Identification System (AIS) data using geographic information systems (GIS). For seven years prior to joining Secure Fisheries, she was a field and lab technician at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center where she focused on the ecology of fish and crabs in the Chesapeake Bay; her research on blue crab reproduction was published in the Marine Ecology Progress Series. Paige earned her BS in Biology and Marine Science from the University of Miami.
