Nasteha Hassan is the Field Assistant for the South Central office in Somalia. She has a master’s degree in accounting and finance from Sudan International University, Khartoum, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mogadishu University (MU). In addition to her advanced degrees, she has certifications in multiple accounting applications (Peachtree, DacEasy, QuickBooks, and Excel), human resource management, and project management and planning. She is fluent in three languages: Somali, English and Arabic.
Nasteha has been involved in finance and management for many years in both the private and nonprofit sector. Prior to joining Shuraako, she worked in administration and finance with Ta’meer Group (an Architecture & planning, Engineering Consultancy and Construction Management Company) and Asal Technology Group where she was the head of Administration and Finance. In her free time, Nasteha enjoys reading and spending time with family.
