Michael van Ginkel works at OEF’s Stable Seas program where he researches Indo-Pacific maritime security. His research and publication background focuses primarily on conflict resolution and prevention. Michael graduated with distinction from the University of Glasgow where he received his master’s degree in conflict studies. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Emory University. While in academia, Michael was awarded an internship at the Scholarly Inquiry and Research at Emory program, a fellowship in the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry, and a Cuttino Independent Study Scholarship to conduct both quantitative and qualitative conflict research.
