eXperimental Negotiation Initiative

Partners with decision makers to make peace possible in complex, high stakes international conflict situations through negotiation.

Launched in collaboration with William Ury, co-founder of Harvard’s Program on Negotiation and one of the world’s leading experts on negotiation and mediation, the eXperimental Negotiation Initiative (xNI) explores the obstacles to negotiated agreement and how to overcome them. xNI currently works in some of the world’s most urgent and intractable conflicts with a focus on Korea and Venezuela. We work to interrupt violence, create off ramps to war and generate new positive-sum possibilities for peace.
