Status of Yellowfin Tuna As Overfished is Wake-Up Call for Indian Ocean

In this blog, OEF’s Secure Fisheries program describes the impact of overfishing on small-scale fisheries like Somalia's.

When the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission listed yellowfin tuna as overfished last November, it caused alarm especially in the Indian Ocean region, where fishing economies depend on tuna for export.
