Hamse Farah

Senior Investment Manager

Hamse Farah is Shuraako’s Senior Investment Manager. As Grant and Administrative Manager, Hamse is responsible for management level administrative work and ensuring that the financial processes are functioning effectively and efficiently, monitoring financial results to detect risks and opportunities to bring to the attention of management and the program. Prior to joining Shuraako, Hamse worked for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Somaliland where he oversaw technical issues, accounting and auditing standards, compliance, and registration and research. He was also a Public Financial Management Specialist for USAID’s Strengthening Somali Governance program which ran from 2015-2017 and a Financial Management Analyst for the UNDP-funded Somali Institutional Development Project (SIDP), which ran from 2010-2012. He has a master’s degree in Public Financial Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration. Hamse is currently working towards an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification and the CIPFA International Public Financial Management (IPFM) qualification.
