Bander Beyla Co-Management Association Registers Local Fishing Boats
The goal of this effort is to inform fisheries management by regularly assessing how many boats are fishing in the district’s waters and to generate revenue through licenses.
The Co-management Association has licensed 90 of the registered boats so far, charging a small six-month fee based on boat size. The revenue is reinvested into the Co-management Association operations and the local fishing sector to benefit the community.
