Nairobi, 28 January 2024 – The One Earth Future Somali team recently wrapped up a dynamic two-day retreat in Nairobi, focusing on strategic planning and discussions to enhance their impact in Somalia and Somaliland.
 

Mahad Mohamed, Director for Shuraako, a program under One Earth Future (OEF), described the retreat as "productive," highlighting the enthusiasm within the team. "I'm really excited to be part of the team and looking forward to delivering on our mission," Mahat expressed.
 

The retreat provided a platform for the team to engage in discussions covering a broad spectrum of topics related to their work in the region. Mahat Shurako Director emphasized, "For the last two days, the OEF Somali team have had a retreat in Nairobi, and we have discussed an array of items that impact our business and our work in Somalia and Somaliland, and discussed how we can find solutions to address the challenges that exist."
 

Throughout the retreat, the team actively identified and addressed challenges, showcasing a commitment to finding sustainable solutions. Mahat emphasized the importance of collaboration within the organization, stating, "I look forward to your support at the Headquarter level, different places of the organization, and really to make sure that we consolidate our efforts, our skills, and our brains to make sure that OEF becomes the platform for peace-building initiatives within Somalia."
 

The exchange of ideas and collaboration among team members during the retreat aimed to propel OEF Somali to new heights. "We've enjoyed, we've interacted, we've deliberated on so many different things that we believe are going to take OEF Somali to the next level," Mahat remarked.
