Puntland Petroleum is the largest distributor of diesel, petrol, and cylinder gas in Puntland. The company sells its products to residential homes, businesses, and government agencies. Puntland Petroleum operates 19 petroleum facilities, including three fuel storage facilities in Bosaso, Galkayco, and Garowe.
The Garowe storage facility was under construction as of November 2021, with plans to be completed by December 2021. Puntland Petroleum received a loan from the Nordic Horn of Africa Opportunities Fund to equip the finished plant with storage tanks, cylinders, electrical and firefighting systems, and an electronic filling machine.
