Solargen Technologies

Solargen Technologies (“Solargen”) is a renewable energy company founded in 2012. Among other solar products, they produce solar water pumping systems, rooftop solar panel grids, and miniature grids. In 2019, Solargen received a Greater Good Award for their work engineering miniature solar grids in Somalia.

Previously, Solargen relied on local representatives to provide solar services to residential and commercial clients in areas where they lacked physical showrooms. Through a loan obtained from the Nordic Horn of Africa Opportunities Fund, Solargen is constructing four additional showrooms in these cities, wherein they already have large customer bases. Solargen aims to reduce travel expenses and increase productivity with the addition of these showrooms.
