African Actors Leading the Way

Southern African regions are increasingly shaping global norms around security. A recent blog series by OEF Research explores these.

In a continuing blog series by One Earth Future’s research program, researchers discuss topics such as the reconciliation process in post-apartheid South Africa, the contribution of African actors in shaping the contemporary norms in international security, as well as the elder statesman role in conflict management in sub-Saharan Africa.

These posts complement the book African Actors in International Security: Shaping Contemporary Norms. The book is supported by OEF, evolving out of a call for research surrounding the role of southern African regions in creation of social norms.
