Jon Bellish, the Chief Operating Officer of One Earth Future, and a delegation from his PASO Colombia and Shared Resources programs, led by their country directors, participated in the 2019 Concordia Americas Summit in Bogotá. This summit is an international platform in which the most important humanitarian, economic and political issues facing the Western Hemisphere are addressed, through a multi-sectoral collaborative approach.
Juan Fernando Lucio led a thematic table at the Concordia Alliance Accelerator: Innovative Finance for Impact in Latin America. The theme of his table was the economic and social integration of Venezuelan migrants, highlighting the intervention of PASO Colombia in Saravena through an Alternative Rural School (ERA) designed to leverage training, development of productive projects and markets to produce food and create jobs for Venezuelan migrants, victims of the conflict and ex-combatants. The agreement with the Mayor's Office of Saravena with which this ERA begins was also signed within the framework of this summit.
Jon Bellish and the PASO Colombia team met with various national and international actors interested in strengthening the network of allies of the Alternative Rural Schools (ERA) around the national territory.
