OEF’s Shuraako program hosted the Somaliland Investment Forum in Hargeisa in late 2016, an event that brought together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders to focus on strengthening private sector development and investment.

The first ever Somaliland Investment Forum-Hargeisa (SIF Hargeisa) was hosted by Shuraako, a program of the One Earth Future Foundation (OEF), in partnership with the Somaliland Ministry of Trade & Investment.

Shuraako, with Dahabshil Bank International and the Arsenault Family Foundation, have teamed up to create the Powering Progress Fund to give micro, small, and medium enterprises that are using renewable energy technology uncluttered access to financing.
